Director talks new GODZILLA documentary
The key special feature on Classic Media's two-DVD release of RODAN and WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS is the 68-minute feature BRINGING GODZILLA DOWN TO SIZE. "The producers/writers wanted a documentary focusing on the miniature sets and art direction of the Godzilla series, which has been maligned by Western media and the ignorant for decades," says director Norman England. "I thought this was a fresh angle, and signed up as quickly as I could." (Whole story here.)

Del Toro to remake FRANKENSTEIN and JEKYLL
Guillermo del Toro, busy with J.R.R. Tolkien's THE HOBBIT, has signed a multifilm deal with Universal that will see him helm new versions of FRANKENSTEIN and DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE ... (Whole story here.)

Studio makes the call for new GHOSTBUSTERS
Columbia Pictures is embarking on a new GHOSTBUSTERS movie, and has signed THE OFFICE writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg to write the script. (Whole story here.)
