ICONIC: The Life and Death of Talos The Bronze

Rafael Gonzales and Philip Clark put their own spin on Jason and the Argonauts with "The Life and Death of Talos the Bronze," telling the story from the point-of-view of the giant guardian. The twelve-page story is part of the independent comics anthology Iconic, which is chock-full of riffs on classic literature, from mythology and folklore to Ebenezer Scrooge and Sherlock Holmes.

Raf has posted loads of sample art and personal commentary from the "Talos" piece:

Iconic, which debuted last month at MoCCA, has received some great reviews:
"A book like this revitalizes our love for comic books and literature in general by jumpstarting our imagination and sparking that excitement we feel when we turn the page ... share it with everyone you can." -- Comics Bulletin

"A modern day classic that will surely be more than just another comic book ... it kindles the fire inside young minds to delve further and learn things that an Xbox360 or an iTunes gift card just won't teach them." -- Project Fanboy
Iconic is available for sale here.
